Aftermath

Aftermath tells the story of Layla, a teenage university student whose life is irrevocably altered after she is spiked. As she fights to reclaim her sense of self, the impact of that one night sends shockwaves through her family, exposing fractures, fears, and the strength needed to heal.

The story is told through the eyes of her father, David, who is forced to confront the realities of women's experiences and the gender double standard, while witnessing Layla's painful but transformative journey from girlhood to woman hood.

Her younger brother, Ethan is faced with tough choices and tougher truths when he falls in with the wrong crowd and goes down a slippery slope which could break his and his sister's relationship entirely.

This play connects fierce family love with difficult cross gender conversations and realisations that nothing is black and white when it comes to growing up.
